Mahavatar Narshima
is a spiritual drama animated movie that showcases the story of a devotee of
Lord Vishnu, Pralhad. The film showcases a world where people are terrified of
a demon (Hrinyakashyap) who blesses with a boon that neither human nor animal, nor
in day or night, nor inside or outside the home, can kill him, after which Lord
Vishnu takes the Narsingh avatar (Half Lion and Half Human) to protect his
devotee, Pralhad.
Review
Since the
movie is based on such a popular mythological story, it is predictable, but I
am not criticizing the movie. Rather, such films should be made which describe
our culture so beautifully, like if we talk about this film, the way Prahlad
has been shown, he is so cute that he may win anyone's heart, even though
Prahlad is the only one left who has faith in his God and the way all this has
been shown in this film, seeing it, the heart becomes happy.
Since this
is a religious film, the parameters for watching it are a little different, but that is not the case; something is disappointing in this film. The two pillars
of this story are the selfless devotion of Prahlad and the increasing cruelty
of Hiranyakashyap. The core line of every religious tale, which has a lot of
religious content, is the same: "the victory of good over evil". Whether
it is the Ramayana. Or any other spiritual story. Those who have heard or have
religion must know the context of this story, but the way this movie is on the big
screen, especially the scene where Lord Vishnu showcases his Narsingh Avatar, as
an audience, nobody can stop himself/herself from folding his/her hands in respect of Lord Narshima.
Direction
and Other Aspects
Direction by
Aswini Kumar is fabulous. The way he brought the story of Lord Narshimha and
Devotee Pralahad to the big screen was a once-in-a-lifetime. Technically movie
was brilliant. The way the director created this whole world in an animated form
makes this a movie a “worth watching” experience. Anyway, if you look at it just
as a spiritual movie, it ticks all the boxes correct is aspects like presentation
to VFX. The movie is excellent in all departments. Other than that, despite being
a small budget movie, the production value is also of a “top-notch” level.
Conclusion
To Summarize. Mahavatar Narsimha is a very well-made movie that showcases the story of Pralhad and his devotion towards Lord Narsimha. Combined with excellent presentation and evenly supported by Top-Notch presentation, this movie is a “Must-Watch” for every generation, from grandparents to grandchildren.
