1 Kesari – The first movie of the Kesari Franchise showcases the real story of the Battle of Saragarhi fought between the 36th Sikh regiment, consisting of 21 Sikhs, who fought against 10,000 Afghans. The movie showcases the bravery of these 21 Young Sighs with a high dosage of Peronism blended with all the elements of a commercial movie, making Kesari a breathtaking experience. 

2 Border – Probably the biggest and most successful war-based movie of the country, shows the story of the 1965 war in a patriotic but also impactful way that hits hard even after two decades of its release. From the presence of superstar actors like Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, and Jackie Shroff to an emotional story, Border has everything that connects and attracts even after three decades of its release.

 

3 Shershah – An Official biopic of Captain Vikram Batra, who was martyred during the Kargil War. Showcasing every aspect of the soldier’s life, like how he got into the Army, his married life, and ultimately his demise on 7^th July 1999. The movie showcases the life and courage of the soldier in a hard-hitting and Impactful way.

 

4 URI – The Surgical Strike -  Probably one of the best performances by Vicky Kaushal, which made him an overnight star.  Showcasing the various aspects of the Surgical Strike, whether it is patriotic or scientific. Probably the first and only one to make a surgical strike happen in 2016, with some breathtaking action scenes, adds another shining star to the movie.

5  The Legend of Bhagat Singh  -  Another Bollywood movie shows the life and sacrifices of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. His passion and courage for the country are worth seeing, and the kind of thinking he had at the age of 23 is an example for many generations, which Ajay Devgan has portrayed brilliantly on screen.

6. Mangal Pandey – The Rising – Focusing on the significant contribution of freedom fighter Mangal Pandey laid the foundation of  India’s independence in 1857, highlighting the spirit and courage of the courageous man makes him an ideal for the young generation, but beyond that many of young generations did not even know his name.

7 Sardar Udham – Showcases the inspiring and courageous story of Udham Singh, who killed General Dyer to take revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy, with a hard-hitting and impactful portrayal of the Jallianwala Bagh Genocide. The movie is a perfect combination of an inspiring story with an impressive performance by Vicky Kaushal.

 

8 Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior – Highlighting the contribution of Maratha warrior Tanhaji fought against the Mughals. The movie not only talks about the outstanding contribution of an unsung hero, but the makers also present the story on the big screen, making the movie an unforgettable experience.

 

9 Chak De India – A Sports drama movie showcases the life of ex-Hockey player Kabir Khan The story of this film is how he is accused of treason and comes back as a coach and regains his lost respect. Everything that a patriotic film should have was there. The song "Chak De India" used to be played in every sporting event. And who can forget Shah Rukh Khan's 10-minute speech?

 

10 Airlift - Airlift is the story of a businessman, Ranjit Katyal, who played a major role in the evacuation of 1.7 lakh Indians from Kuwait in the 90s. A movie in which you will not only see Akshay Kumar's brilliant acting, but it will make you pull out your handkerchief, and this was a story that people were not aware of.
