Plot Overview
The story is the same as shown in the trailer, that Abhay
Patnaik (Ajay Devgan) is going to do his 75th raid at the house of a big
leader, Dadabhai (Riteish Deshmukh). Now the film is about what comes out in
this raid.
Review
The story is the same as that of the previous movie, because
the concept is simple, as it depends on the raid and what comes out of it and
the way the confrontation between Ajay Devgan and Ritesh Deshmukh is shown is
amazing. apart from this the movie is based on a land scam.
The plot is the same as what happens in the film. In the
first part, there was a raid on the politician's income tax; the same is the
case here. The only difference is that there are two raids here: one in the
first half and one in the second half. Along with this, there is also a land
scam. Dadabhai has bought land in the names of many people.
The story and characters are interesting and keep us hooked.
Its screenplay is also very well written.A leader who has committed a scam of
thousands of crores. How he moves on new paths is shown very well. As the story
moves forward, new twists keep coming in the film, which maintains the tempo of
film.
One thing that will be very interesting about the film is
that as soon as the film starts, the uncle (Saurabh Shukla) from the first part
will be seen. There is a small twist in him which will be linked to the climax.
Maybe the foundation of Raid 3 will also be laid with this twist. It would be
too early to say anything right now and the twist was good.
Technically the film is well made. Art designing, locations,
cinematography were also good. This time the film was set in Rajasthan instead
of Uttar Pradesh, so the locations are also good. The more desi the story and
locations are, the more the film connects with the audience and the essence of
Raid 1 is also there.
Ajay Devgan Recreated the Magic of Part 1
Talking about acting, just like Raid 1, Ajay Devgan's acting
was amazing. He brought life to his role as an Income Tax officer. Ritesh
Deshmukh has also played his role of a corrupt politician with great intensity,
and the competition between him and Ajay Devgan is impressive. If anyone is
impressive on screen, it is Amit Sial. He is playing the role of a corrupt and
honest officer, but his work is also good. Apart from all these, Rajat Kapoor
and Saurabh Shukla have also left an impression in small roles, and there is a
little girl who has played the role of Ajay Devgan's daughter; she also looks
very cute.
Impressive Direction by Raj Kumar Gupta
Raj Kumar Gupta's direction is good. The way he has taken
the story forward is very good. He has done things very simply, and the
audience connects with the story very easily. And if the director connects the
audience with his film, story, and characters, then half the work of the
director is done.
Crisp Editing
The film is 2 hours and 19 minutes long, so the editing is also fine. If I want
to highlight something, then it is the raid in this entire film. Although the
first one was also like this but the character of Ileana D'Cruz was developed
well, but here the same has not been done with Vaani Kapoor. This time, the
entire focus is on those 2 raids.
Conclusion
To summarize. Raid 2 is a good movie. The story is the same
as the previous movie, and Ajay Devgan shines in this role and Ritesh Deshmukh
has also given a tough competition to Ajay Devgan in the role of villain. The
work of Vaani Kapoor and the rest of the cast is also commendable.
