In this Article, 9 movies that should
be watched after the Kashmir Attack
1 URI – The Surgical Strike - 2018 Movie showcases the story of Surgical
Strike conducted on 29th September 2016 in retaliation for the
terrorists' attack on 18th September 2018, in which Vicky Kaushal
played the role of Vikram Shergill, who led a covert operation across the LOC. The
movie has a gripping story, making URI – The Surgical Strike. A gripping, patriotic film that showcases
India’s strategic response to terrorism.
2 Shershah – Another
patriotic movie that deserves a mention is Shershah, officially based on the
life of Captain Vikram Batra lost his life during the Kargil War. Showcasing untold stories of the soldier from
his entry into the Army, his married life, and ultimately his Martyrdom on 7
July 1999. Later, the Soldier also received the Paramveer Chakra in 1999 for
his contribution. The movie highlights the soldier's contribution in an
impactful manner.
3 The Kashmir Files - This
film sheds light on a truth about Kashmiri Pandits that no one knows. How
Kashmiri Pandits lived in fear in the 90s and how they were massacred. Most
importantly, how the youth was brainwashed, all this has been shown very well,
and the way the massacre has been shown will make your soul tremble, and some
people even call this movie propaganda.
4 Haider - Shakespeare's
Hamlet. This movie is based on Kashmir in 1995. A young boy named Haider, whose
life changes forever, sets out to avenge his father's death, and the unseen
aspects of Kashmir are shown very well. Just like Vishal Bhardwaj's films, one
gets to see something different. Haider is another great movie. I think this
was one of Shahid Kapoor's most different films.
5 Mission Kashmir- The story of the film
is about the death of a family due to the mistake of a police officer. Except
for an 8-year-old child whom the police officer later adopts, but when the
child grows up, he joins a terrorist group to take his revenge. The film was
very controversial and worth watching. Not many people know that Hrithik Roshan
had also done Mission Kashmir in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.
6 Fanaa—It was a romantic action thriller in which a blind girl falls in love with the head of a terrorist group. Kashmir is shown very beautifully in the film. This was the time when Aamir Khan's movies were very hyped. The film was very good to watch. The story was simple, but it was an average story with the star power of Aamir
Khan and Kajol, so the film earned a lot of money at the box office.
7 Bajrangi Bhaijaan - One
of Salman Khan's most loved films is Bajrangi Bhaijaan, in which Bajrangi
tolerates everything when a Muslim girl comes to his house. And the way
Bajrangi's character was written and presented is amazing. Like Bajrangi, which
is also a name of Hanuman ji, and the small details shown in that character,
the innocence of that character will win your heart.
8 Border – The most loved
war-based film will be a treat to watch after the Kashmir Attack had all the legends from the
90s. Border is considered a cult classic, and comes with Indian war movies
filled with clap-worthy dialogues. In which there is a different spirit of
patriotism, one special thing is that the aerial action that we talk about
today, its glimpse was shown by the Border in 1997
9 Article 370-. If we are
talking about Kashmir, then it is important to talk about Article 370 as well.
Under which Kashmir had a special status, how it was removed, and why it was
necessary to remove it, all this will be seen in this film, which has been
presented very beautifully by director Aditya Suhas Jambhele, and equally
brilliant acting by Yami Gautam and others.
