Plot Overview
The movie starts with a scene in which Koyal (Yami Gautam)
and Veer (Pratik Gandhi) are meeting with families, and both soon become a couple
and then get married all these first 2 or 3 minutes of the movie, until a
baddy knocks on their door and asks where Charlie is. So now, who is this Charlie? How will Koyal and Veer get out of this mess, and most importantly, what is the reason behind this
mess? And ultimately, who is this Charlie?
This is all the movie is about.
Review
The beauty of the movie is that it stays on the topic right
from the first, like the meeting of Koyal and Veer and their marriage all these are
shown in just 3 to 4 minutes, which helps the movie to stay on its topic without any
nonsense and makes the movie engaging with some of one-liners and dialogues and
movie a pattern of cat and mouse chase and plays a guessing game with audience mind.
The movie perfectly blended the love
story of Veer and Koyal with all these matters and kept playing a game from
start to end.
The second high point of the movie is the chemistry between Veer
and Koyal two absolutely opposite characters come together to make the movie an
entertaining watch some of the one-liners by Yami Gautam are funny and maintain
a constant smile on a viewer's face on the other hand Cat and Mouse chase adds
an element of thrill in the movie. The
twist in the climax may surprise viewers with the mystery of Charlie. The movie maintains an environment of hustle and bustle and of thrill
and tension.
Actors Performance
Highlighting the actor’s performance. Pratik Gandhi in a new
avatar. The way he portrayed the role of Veer shows his versatility as an actor.
Those who have seen Scam 2003 know how versatile he is as an actor. Once again, he delivered
a solid performance in Dhoom Dhaam and was well-supported by Yami Gautam. He delivered another solid performance after Article 370 and might see a glimpse
of Kareena Kapoor from Jab We Met. The way these two carried the whole movie on
their shoulders shows how good they are. The car-chasing scene is probably the
best scene. Talking about the rest of the cast, all the actors have provided decent
support in their limited screen space. We are also going to see Pratik Babar after a long time.
Story, Direction, and Screenplay
Direction by Rishab Seth is exceptional and shines in every
department, from story to screenplay on the other hand, the way he presented
Yami and Pratik Gandhi and with the movie filled with three Es (Entertainment,
Excitement, and Engagement and coming to other aspects like Production Value,
location, camerawork looks impressive and ads a (Cherry on the cake) in the
move.
Conclusion
To summarize, Dhoom Dhaam was an exceptional watch with an exceptional
balance of thrill and tension to keep viewers glued to their
seats, combined with impactful performances by Pratik Gandhi and Yami Gautam. So, if you are looking for something on OTT weekend, then Dhoom Dhaam could be a
good option.
