Review
The movie Portrays the bravery and aura of Maratha Chhatrapati
Sambhaji Maharaj in a manner that shows Chhatrapati
Sambhaji Maharaj. The movie is an out-and-out Vicky Kaushal show that he
represents himself in, and is worth watching. The way he delivered his dialogue takes
his performance to another level in scenes that motivate his army and create goosebumps.
The Vicky Kuashal’s with Lion is probably the best scene.
The movie is a historical drama that focuses on the conflict
between Maratha and Mughal with high-obtained action and hard-hitting dialogues, making Chavaa a big-screen experience as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj fighting
with all these picturized with high-obtained action. The movie also covers a
political side that adds an extra layer of complexity to the screenplay. The
director was highly focused on showing Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's bravery.
As the movie is a period drama so, it takes the first half
to develop the storyline, but it is when the screenplay takes a drastic turn when
Aurangzeb and Sambhaji Maharaj arrest Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is tortured
by Mughals and all these scenes are hard-hitting and brutal, and even a weak hearted
will close there eyes and between all this brutality the Hero vs Villian fight
between Vicky Kaushal and Akshaya will create a lots fan cheering moments.
Actors Performance
In terms of the Acting Department, Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati
Sambhaji Maharaj has not only led the movie but also carried on his shoulder the
way he portrayed this iconic character on the big screen, making the best performance
in his career in the way he performed all the stunts makes Chhava an entertaining
watch, but as the movie is based on the life of such an unsung hero the movie
goes beyond the parameter of goods, bads, hit, flops as the movie such a historical figure that Gen Z should about there sacrifices and contribution for there
country.
Apart from Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandana, as
Maharani Yesubai, also shines in her limited screen space. Her chemistry with
Vicky Kaushal is fabulous, but the only rattling is her South Indian accent, which
might get noticed in a historical movie like this.
Apart from these two, the actor who may surprise many people
is Akshaya Khanna. He was given “One of the finest performances of his career
as Crural Aurangzeb first of all, that should
be given to a makeup artist when his first look came out, many did not even recognize
it was Akshaya Khanna, one of the fabulous and underrated actors in Bollywood and
rest of supporting cast gave needed support to the movie.
Direction
As a Director, Laxman Utekar took a 360-degree turn director
after directing a rom-com like Luka Chuppi, he chose a hard-hitting movie like
Chavva and showed a terrific transformation as a director. The way he brought
the iconic tale of Sambhaji Maharaj is not only entertaining but also inspires a
lot of people.
Conclusion
To sum up, Chhaava is a fantastic movie, and it couldn't be a better way of describing
the Iconic story of Maratha Chhatrapati
Sambhaji with an iconic performance by Vicky Kaushal and an equally brilliant performance
by Akshaya Khanna as cruel Aurangzeb.
