Review
Let's take out from the story that the murderer here is a 13-year-old boy. Everything else is like a typical crime thriller cum investigation drama which will be liked by the viewers of this genre, and the way everything has been shown will keep the audience engaged. In the first scene, as the police reach the child's house and arrest him, it creates excitement in the viewers' minds as to what is happening, and then slowly, new things start unfolding in the story.
Now I won't say that this series will show you something that you haven't seen before but the way this whole story has been shown is good and we are able to connect with it and the way those things have been presented, cut to cut, what Jamie's family goes through after he goes to jail, that too is an angle that has been explored in a very simple and convincing way, how Jamie's father tries to get justice for him.
Whenever we talk about school-based crime drama series, we remember Netflix's series Elite. Here also some things were taken from it but there the problems of teenagers were shown through many characters but whatever is happening here is happening only with one child and his family. And that's not all. How the upbringing methods are changing these days and what changes have come in them, all this has also been shown but in a very indirect way.
Apart from this, parents nowadays are not paying attention to the children and how they are getting lost in the social world, the beauty with which all this has been shown is worth praising, it was fun to see it.
And here we have to praise the director and the writer as well, who have kept the story simple and the characters relatable. How a father gives his all for his child is something every family can connect with. And the way the dark world of social media has been shown here will definitely make you think once
In the first scene, when the police come to arrest him, and in the scene when he is being interrogated at the police station, he shows his best acting in that scene. Whether they are the child's parents and the way they respond to the child, I am going to see the child's acting in that scene . The way the scenario has been connected to social media is so beautiful that it will make your heart happy.
Actor's Performances
The actors who played the role of the parents, along with the child, have done a great job, and the one who played the role of the policeman has also done an excellent job. And the work of all the supporting characters is good as per the story. The direction is also good. He wanted to show the impact of social media on children through the lead character, Jamie. And the director has been successful to a great extent in this.
Technical Aspects
Technically, the show is excellent, whether it is keywork, editing, cinematography everything that takes the show to a higher level. The story has been finished in 4 episodes, everything has been shown as cut, there is no scenario for the second season.
Conclusion
Overall, the series is good, and teenage kids and parents will be able to connect with it. Enjoy it
