Review
The film's first highlight is a narrative that perfectly captures the spirit of movies from the 70s and 80s. The movie's trailer demonstrates that it belongs to the parody or spoof genre. The movie fully justifies it with such loud dialogues like “ Tu Bura Hain Bure logo ka shehe shah hoon to Bada bada hoga main to bachpan se hi kharab hu and” har superhit scene ke pehle superhit dialogue zaroori hota hain.” Adding a commercial element to the movie has been missing for a long time. Hence, dialogues and one-liners are superb, so writers should give credit for their work.
Actors Performance
The movie is not only produced by Himesh Reshammiya, but the movie fully belongs to him by redefines the term “Hero” and the way Himesh Reshammiya presented himself on the big screen with a dynamic personality that fits him well, Like the way he performs action and his cop avatar was resembles conic characters like Singham and Chulbul Pandey. After Himesh Reshammiya, another cast, including Sonia Kapur, played a glamourous role, and her work was only to add a glamorous touch to an iconic character like Mona Darling from the 70s or 80s movies to justify her presence in the movie other than her Prabhudeva has seen playing a negative role for the first time in his career but it would be unfair to judge his acting capability with such a role would be unfair to him. with a little screen on time. The remaining actors, notably Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, and Rajesh Sharma, left their mark with their limited screen space.
Character Development, Direction, and Music
Character development needed more consideration from the
director. It is a parody or spoof. The film is successful in preserving the
atmosphere of the 70s and 80s and may also resonate audience with the tagline
"Logic is Optional". Given that it was directed by Himesh Reshammiya,
it again gave hit songs like Dil Ke Taj Mahal Main, Butterfly Tittliyan, which
were arguably the film's highlight. These are all catchy songs and worth
hearing.
As it is Himesh Reshammiya‘s movie, one of the most talented music directors of Bollywood again showed his magic songs like Tandoori Days, Butterfly Tittilian, and Dil Ke Taj Mahel Main, which were probably the best part of the movie. All these songs are melodious and worth listening.
The issue is that it eventually becomes a little
monotonous. The movie lacks an interesting component. Logis is optional. What
the makers said in the trailer suits the movie, but still, I felt
something was missing in the movie
Conclusion
To summarise this review. Badass Ravikumar is not
a great movie, but it will surprise a section of the audience who loved and
enjoyed 70s and 80s movies. With the melodious music of Himesh
Reshamiya, probably the best part of the movie, on vice versa, the movie
belongs to the spoof or parody genre, which is a well-known genre in Hollywood,
but if we judged it as a Bollywood movie, it is a decent one-time watch.
